Surrey Juniors v Sussex Juniors Away at Chartham Park, Sunday 28 March

It was good to see some sunshine on the course at Chartham Park for the first county junior match of the season.

Charlotte Griffith, who captained the Surrey team, put up a really good fight in her game and that set the pattern for the day.

All the team members played really well and fought hard against strong opposition. Special mention to Lauren Horsford who was 4 down after 8 holes but finally won through to a 3 & 2 victory…which just proves how a golf match can be turned around with determination.

Congratulations to all the team for their good spirit and sporting play. The final result was a 4-3 win for Sussex.
