The Abraham Trophy was presented by Lieutenant-Commander Abraham in memory of his stepmother Mrs D I Abraham. The trophy is open to girls under 18 with a CONGU handicap. Girls win a place in the Abraham Trophy Final by achieving the best 6 nett scores in the period 1st March 2009 to the 28th February 2010 in their area or they can qualify by being one of the next highest scoring girls. The country is divided into 8 areas. Surrey is included in the area with Essex, Kent, Middlesex and Sussex. This year's final is at the Market Rasen Golf Club on Monday 26th July. Congratulations to Jess Seweel who was the only girl to compete in the Guildford Junior Open in June. Jess shot a gross 82, resulting in a nett 67 and finished 5th overall, 3rd Handicap. There were 42 competitors, so Jess did brilliantly. Jessica's card has been sent off to the Abu Dhabi Junior Golf Championship, presented by the Daily Telegraph. Best of luck Jess and hope the score is good enough to get you to Abu Dhabi.
