English Girls Championships Final Results

6 Surrey girls made the final cuts in the U18, U15 and U13's English Girls Championships held at Seacroft and Market Rasen Golf Clubs.
In the U18's, Daisy May Kenny just made the cut, inside the top 40, with scores of 76 and 84. Her final 36 holes of 77 and 78 saw her move up and finish 24th out of a field of 123. An awesome result for Daisy-May.
In the U15's championship, Shannon Flynn was the top Surrey Girl, with scores of 78, 79, 83 and 79. Shannon finished 14th. Inci Mehmet was in 17th place with scores of 78, 80, 79 and 83, and Sana Tufail came 21st with scores of 77, 87, 81 and 79. Congratulations to all three girls.
The final championship was the U13's. Samantha Fuller had shared the lead for the first two rounds with scores of 77 and 81 with Sophie Madden from West Essex. Sophie and Samantha were neck and neck through the final round, but meanwhile Alice Hewson from Berkhamstead was moving up the field, and in the end edged Samantha and Sophie out. Samantha finished in 3rd place, a fabulous effort in her first U13's event. Lizzie Prior also made the cut, and just kept getting better and better, she finished in 10th place with scores of 88, 83 and 81.
